I just started Middle School, grade 7 on Monday! I’m so nervous and stressed! Its been 4 days and it feels like a month. Plus, I trying to be organized but I have no room in my locker! Help! I wanna get good grades, and I’m in ALGEBRA and AP language arts!! Help!
OMG GUYZZ thx i wish i could choose ALL of these as a best answer.
i do remember the beginning of 7th grade being stressful. (and since when do they do AP in middle school?? no wonder you’re stressed!) haha no im kidding, i’m sure you will be fine. I took algebra in 7th grade too and it was no big deal, people just make it sound like that. the year overall did go pretty smoothly.
work hard, but don’t worry too much about your grades–unlike high school, no college will ever see them.
as per the locker, get one of those little mesh shelves. You may be able to leave some books at home or in the classroom too.
My cousin is doing a map of "middle east" for school. I never understood why it was called the middle east. i mean its southwest asia not "middle east"
the previous 2 answers are correct , but at the same time the also the way the word Orient was coined into English terminology from French . Originally Orient in the old days meant direction or center path (not East), but consider that a European travels east to get to what was the middle of the map then (900~1000 years ago) so when they coined it in English they couldn’t say Middle Center (sounds awkward) , and since the word Orient was synonymous with east , Orient was then taken to mean east in English despite it not being the original old meaning.
What certification test does someone take to become a middle school math teacher in Missouri?
I know there is a C-BASE test that you have to take to be a high school math teacher but I didn’t’ know if you had to take the same test or a different one like elementary school does.
Do you know?

According to surveys 3% of children between the ages of 8 to 18 are vegetarian which is triple the amount ten years previously. The same percentage of adults are also though as many as 10% say they are but eat occasional fish or chicken. That means that lots more teens (and visiting adults) would eat vegetarian/vegan (veg*n) if they had the option even if they are not full veg*n themselves especially on those days when the main entrees are beef or pork based.
Here are some of the sources:
http://www.usatoday.com/news/health/2007-10-14-veggie-kids_N.htm

http://www.courant.com/features/lifestyle/hc-veggiecool.artapr13,0,2934662.story
And this page of percentages comparing veg*ns and non-veg*ns from Vegetarian Teen is really interesting:
http://www.vegetarianteen.com/articles/reasons.shtml
Including some info such as this:
====
Cholesterol
*Drop in heart disease risk for every 1 percent decrease in blood cholesterol: 3-4 percent.
*Blood cholesterol levels of vegetarians compared to non-vegetarians: 14 percent lower.
*Risk of death from heart disease for vegetarians compared to non-vegetarians: Half.
*Blood cholesterol levels of vegans (vegetarians who eat no meat, eggs, or dairy products) compared to non-vegetarians: 35 percent lower.
*Intake of cholesterol for non-vegetarians: 300-500 milligrams/day.
*Intake of cholesterol for lacto-ovo vegetarians (vegetarians who eat dairy and eggs): 150-300 milligrams/day.
*Intake of cholesterol for vegans: Zero.
*Average cholesterol level in the United States: 210.
*Average cholesterol level of U.S. vegetarians: 161.
*Average cholesterol level of U.S. vegans: 133.
====
and
====
*Obesity rate among the general U.S. population: 18 percent.
*Obesity rate among vegetarians: 6 percent.
*Obesity rate among vegans: 2 percent.

Good Luck and Yay for you and your group making such a great difference for everyone.
do they make enough money to get a house in the suburbs and live normally or do they sort of make good money and need to work for a while first before getting a house
do teachers get to choose where they work? im planning on going to college and working in a suburban middle school
Yeah, loads… almost as much as me…
It varies considerably, depending on where you teach. Teacher’s salaries are public knowledge if they teach in public schools so you can find the salary scales, usually by doing a search for the appropriate department of education or school district or teacher’s union. Where I live a starting salary is about 35,000 – 40,000.
Question says it all o_O
Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science etc.
Im doing a debate project in school.
The topic is, "Should More After School Sports Be Offered In Middle Schools?"
My team is against this topic, so I need facts of how there shouldn’t be more sports offered.
Thanks!
can anyone link me to some articles please? That would be a great help!
Yeah, I don’t know if I totally agree but I sorta do
Well here’s some ideas
* It takes away focus when kids should be studying
* Younger kids tend to hurt themselves by doing dumb things
* Most "Coaches" are teachers and kids tend to get favored
* Middle isn’t supposed to be about sports more so clubs and learning
..sorry i hope i helped
Well, I’ve gotten pretty sick and bored of school and attempted suicide because of all the stress and pressure I get from my teachers. It all started when I went to an elite private school but after 3 1/2 years of overwhelming stress, I decided to transfer out of that school and into a public school. The public school I go to now isn’t exactly a good school. There are lots of delinquents and the teachers don’t care at all and are really bad at teaching. I think the best decision for me would be to take care of my own schooling (online schooling). And since I want to become a computer engineer or anything related to technology, the school I go to now doesn’t teach me anything that I need to know about the future career I want to have. It’s basically "a waste of time" for me.
Also, I’m 14 and in 8th grade middle school.
i looked into that this year too.
and it was all looking good, i found a program for not too much money and it seemed to be simple enough…
but then when my mother contacted the school system they said they have to give you their list of programs, you choose one of theirs and retturn it, then you have to wait for them to get to your ‘case’ and they have to decide if they approve of your request or not.
they told me when i asked around the end of the first half of the year, that i wouldnt be entering the program for at least TWO YEARS!!
its crazy!!!
it could be different for your system however. have your parents (or do it yourself) contact the school and ask about it.
maybe they are smarter than mine!
