  • Can a middle schooler transfer schools without moving?

Posted by admin on March 30th, 2010 and filed under middle schools | 6 Comments »

I’m in middle school and hoping for a ‘fresh start’. I live in Ontario and I was wondering if I could transfer middle schools without moving.

Yes, you have the ability to transfer schools, as I was planning on doing so this school year as an eighth grader.
You have to talk to your parents first (obviously), and if they are okay with your decision you will have to work with the board of education, as well as the administration at your school. There are a lot of papers to fill out, but it is a possibility that you could opt for if you truly wanted to.

Posted by admin on March 8th, 2010 and filed under middle schools | 5 Comments »

I need pros and cons about why banned books should be kept in or out of middle schools.

Also, parents for or against banned books in middle schools.

Can we transfer schools in the middle of the school year?

Posted by admin on February 25th, 2010 and filed under middle schools | 2 Comments »

im in high school, just started 10th grade, i hate it so much here, everything feels so different and so stuffy.
i dread going to school, its getting stuffy, and i dont feel like they give me enough options .
& i want to feel more independent, and not travel with the same people, same students, to one class and the other. basically my school’s like middle school, but without the homeroom and stuff.
I dont feel dependent, i have to follow other people to classes, i want my own schedule, go to a REAL high school .

    Yeah :)

How come most high schools and middle schools that i know start school at 7 so we have to get up at 6?

Posted by admin on February 23rd, 2010 and filed under middle schools | 3 Comments »

I ask this because it doesn’t help anybody really
it makes kids more tired, which makes them do worse in school, which makes the schools average test scores go down which cuts the funding and cuts the pay of teachers eventually, so why dont they just start it later like they did in elementary school?

My high school starts at 8:30.
Sucks for you, it’s already a pain for me to wake up at 7..you have a point there.
