  • Do middle school grades count for college?

Posted by admin on February 13th, 2010 and filed under middle school grades | 8 Comments »

Or do only high school grades count for college? Or is it neither?

Only high school GPA counts for college. However, if you do better in middle school, then you can take more advanced classes in high school, usually leading to taking AP classes in your senior year, which can save you loads of money in college by earning yourself credits in advance.

So it’s still a good idea to not slack off in Middle School. Not to mention it helps build the skills you need to get that GPA that actually counts in High School.

In middle school if u have any AP classes then they count in high school. Otherwise only high school grades count.

no colleges primarily look at high school grades and usually 11th grade is the most important, but keep those grades high because it helps throughout high school if you understand the foundation of everything they teach you.. (foundation= everything you learned in middle school)

Some middle schools offer high school classes. The middle school I went to offered a high school freshman year level Spanish class, and a high school freshman year algebra class. If you take classes like that, they would count as "AP" for middle school, and could potentially count for college.

Middle school grades have no bearing on college consideration. High school grades are very important in the process though.
