Each school district calculates its grades differently giving various point values or weights to specific courses. Instead of trying to calculate your gpa on your own, ask your guidance counselor for assistance. He/she will be able to give you a much more accurate assessment and help you understand how you compare locally, regionally and nationally.

Good luck
References :
a community college professor

Ask your senior guidance counselor these questions. Answers will depend on your state, county, etc.
