  • How important are grades in middle school?

Posted by admin on October 22nd, 2009 and filed under middle school grades | 6 Comments »

We’ve already picked out classes for high school, (all college prep for me, was recommended) and I was wondering, do colleges/jobs look at your grades you receive in middle school?

schools do, but honestly, most schools don’t.

No, but it sounds like you don’t need to worry about it if you’re in for college prep classes

They look at them and grade you upon them(high school & jobs). They also look at high school grades(jobs) and your resume.

Honestly I doubt they would look at them. You are young then, so who cares? Unless maybe you do so so in highschool, then they look and saw you did horrible in middle school.
I’m sure you are fine though. If you have average grades in middle school, then just try and bump it up a little more in high school. And you’ll be fine

well, if you take certain classes that are also offered in the high school then it will definitely be on your transcript. or state tests. for example, i took a state test in middle school that is on my high school transcript. i also took an art class that is offered at my high school so that grade is on there. i dont think any other classes will be on your transcrpt so i dont think colleges will look at them.
