Hi, I am in the eight grade, was wondering if middle school grades matter for highschool. I am an straight A student, an I am very smart. But, this year, I’m in the second trimester and I feel lazy. Does it matter to universities if I get some B’s on my report card. Does an Ivy Leauge school require 4.0 GPA is middle. I know I can do well in highschool If i try. But how about this year
It depends on your Middle School/High School. A lot of schools look at your grades to determine placement for High School. As for college, I don’t think Middle School grades matter. High School grades matter for sure though.

wow. all A’s?! except for one trimester? do not be upset about that! we all have our times when we’re lazy. for the most part, middle school grades only count to which highschool class your going into.. if your wicked smart, then you should be applying yourself more in classes. like honors science and probably a very high math class.
that is what really matter’s for colleges =]
