  • When you apply for a college, do the people considering it look at your middle school grades?

I just got an A- in science and I’m in 7th grade. Will people that consider me for their college ever look at our middle school grades?

I’ve never heard of anyone going back further than high school grades. I cannot state that it *never* happens, as I don’t know the admission policies of all of the colleges/universities in the world.

It wouldn’t make any sense to do so, since the grades wouldn’t reflect recent work (compared with the application date). Nor would those grades suggest the applicant’s ability to do college-level work. The later is really what the admission committee ultimately wants to decide.
