  • Will my grade in Middle school effects my opportunity to get in good college?

Posted by admin on January 21st, 2010 and filed under middle school grades | 9 Comments »

What about high school..how will it be counted
If you get recognize in middle school .Will they know about it in college?
Does middle school grade count AT ALL or just a little bit?
    thankx
I’m in 7th grade and i have As & Bs
I really need scholar ship to get into good college so will it effect much or anything at all?
    thankx

Colleges DO NOT see middle school grades. All universities require a high school transcript (which is just like a big report card of all of your grades from 9-12 grade). High school grades are important though, very very important. But, if you take high school classes in middle school, then they will carry over to high school and colleges may see them.
I know how you feel about scholarships. I’m in 12th grade and I’m applying to colleges now. It’s so expensive. But, there is so much scholarship money out there. But it’s really good that you’re already thinking about this stuff now. That’s just how I was. I picked out my college in like 9th grade. You’re doing great right now and keep it up. Your future seems really bright, good luck!

Middle school does not count at all. Do your best because strong study habits will help you in high school which WILL affect what college you get into and how much grants you recieve.

Colleges don’t even look at your middle school grades. Its only the high school grades and the ACT or SAT they look at. Middle school grades play absolutely no role in determining what colleges you can get into or what scholarships you can get.

Yes. The People Look At Your Report Cards On Your Permanent Record Or Whatever Its Called.

Keep Getting Those A’s And B’s And You’ll Have A Good Chance Of Getting A Good Scholarship.

Middle school has absolutely nothing to do with what college you get into. High school is the only thing that matters. When you’re a senior in high school you’ll have so many other activities to put on your resume that anything you did in middle school would be pointless and they’d probably wonder why you included something from 4 years ago.

Just do really well in high school and you’ll be fine. High school is easy. Just do your homework and hand it in on time.

No, it doesn’t, but it will help you get tracked for Honors and AP classes in high school, as well as for leadership positions in extracurriculars – and these look great when it comes to applying for grants and scholarships.

Sorry but it doesn’t count AT ALL. The college doesn’t even look at your middle school grade. They only look at your high school grade. they look at the classes you take in high school (especially AP and Honors Classes) and your extracurricular activities. If you want a scholarship, I recommend taking many AP courses (unless you get a low grade in them), joining teams (such as debate team), join some sort of office like class president, volunteer (especially outside of school) and do well in your SAT or PSAT for Junior year (but for junior year, the scholarship is only for the high 90th percentile)

I lol’ed when I read this. Yes they matter. If you want to be in advanced high school classes, you need to be advanced in middle school.
