I am going into 7th grade into a public school for the first time. Wha is the difference betwwen Advanced Placment and normal math? Is there only future high school dropouts in normal math?
normal math is just that the regular math for that grade level where AP math is a higher grade level of math for that particular student so if your in 7th grade and you going into AP math you will be taking 8th grade math instead of 7th

ap classes are basically college courses taken by students still in hs, anyone can be a high dropout and there’s many different levels of math, first there is math a and math a honors then math b or math b honors, after those math courses are taken you can then take precalculus but if your really bright you can take ap calculus ab or ap calculus bc which is college calculus

AP gets you ready for Pre-Calculus in high school, which is only useful if your going to go into Calculus in College/University

AP stands for Advanced Placement and is a prefix to a class name that indicates that it prepares students for an AP test, but this is just for high school.
For middle school, I’d guess that it means the AP class is for people who feel comfortable and knowledgable about all the math they’ve learned so far, and the normal class is for those who don’t understand it as well, want to take more time on the subjects, or just don’t want to do the extra work.
People don’t normally take all honors classes, but the fact that they are in a "normal" class doesn’t mean they are stupid, it might just mean they don’t care much for the subject or don’t want to be in it for some reason.
Even the brightest, most intelligent students may drop out of high school. This was actually the cover story for Time magazine a few weeks back. Uncanny.
Anywho, basically I think AP middle school classes just go more quickly through the material and may learn a few extra things when the time catches up.
Sorry for the drabble.

AP or Advance Placement is a college level class…At the end of the course you will take a AP test and if you score from a 3-5 you will earn college credit to most colleges…it is graded on a scale from 1-5 this is what ap classes are…i have 4 this year…they are hard but if u dont wish to take the class in college then i recommend them
