  • What is a good arabic textbook for middle school students?

Posted by admin on February 23rd, 2010 and filed under middle school students | 1 Comment »

Hello! Im using my sons account and this fall I am starting an arabic course for 8th grade and 9th grade students. I am good at speaking Arabic but was wondering if anyone knew of a good textbook that could be used for the students. Thanks

The Al-Kitaab fii Ta’allum al-’Arabiyya series with DVDs is probably the best for MSA and can be purchased on Amazon.com. There is a supplemental book in the series called Alif Baa, which is for learning the script.

There are other textbooks that are geared towards younger students so you should check Amazon, just search "Arabic textbook". But the problem is some of them don’t have reviews. Al-Kitaab is the one used mostly in college courses and probably the most thorough and trusted. You should look through it at a college bookstore and see if you think it would be suitable for students that age.
