  • Common concerns for middle school teachers?

Posted by admin on September 26th, 2009 and filed under middle school teachers | 1 Comment »

Other than behavioral issues, what difficulties do middle school teachers face during their day? I’m writing a mock advice column for a college course and could use a little inspiration on what problems/topics might be a concern for teachers.
Daryl, this is a huge help!

I am an 8th grade teacher. Keeping the students motivated is always a concern as well as making the work relevant to their life is a challenge.

Why did the student fail the test?

    1. Did he not get it?
    2. Did he not study?
    3. Does he have a low reading comprehension level?
    4. Is he motivated?
    5. Did I teach the material in an appropriate manner to allign with the assessment?

    Hope this helps.
