How do you know which person is actually telling the truth. Plenty of kids will tell on enemies just to get them in trouble. Sometimes groups of kids, girls especially will go to great lengths to get a more popular student in trouble. Unfortunately I have seen it done way too many times. My husband told me that when he was in first grade the entire class ganged up on him and the teacher was punishing him all the time. When ever anything went wrong she would say who did it and they would all point at him. He was the scape goat for the whole class and for the teacher. If its tattling over silly things i agree its bad, if it however is a safety issue of a bullying issue then i do think the kids should tell an adult. In my opinion, this system does not work. If the victim tells a teacher, the teacher "deals" with the bully. Later on, the victim seems to "get it twice as bad" for snitching. I think things should go back to the way it used to be.
