  • What community service can a middle school aged kid do?

Posted by admin on December 15th, 2009 and filed under middle school | 5 Comments »

What community service can a middle school aged kid do (say 11-13) that does NOT involve long hours on the feet, extra walking, running, or being outside for extended hours? She needs community service hours, but would like to avoid these things if possible.

there are 2 activities that you can engage in.
first one is library. not hard, does not require skill… boring but
    doable
second one is old people’s house, AKA nursing home. go there help elders

Ask your clergyperson what local volunteer activities are available.

Talk to her school to see if they have a list of volunteer positions. Or try looking in the phone book for volunteer organizations. However at that age she maybe too young as most insurance companies would not cover her.
