My son finished the 8th grade in public school with straight F’s and went from that to straight A’s and B’s being home schooled. Online charter schools are considered the same as public schooling. My son graduated an online charter school and now attends University of Dayton ( a private university ) with scholarships.

Home schooling can work for some. The student needs to be self disciplined enough to do the work and care. Generally less work is involved with an online charter school than in a regular public school. You are also able to work at your own pace. k12 will customize your curriculum and make sure you are where you need to be.

This is the school my other children are now attending,

Depending on where you live they may be a help, if not, there are online charter schools all over. It really depends on where you live as to how many different ones are availabale to you.

They will provide you with the computer, printer, supplies and books that you need as well as teachers and academic advisors. This is the same as a public school but ONLINE at home.

If you need anything else feel free to email me

Go to k12.com and see if they offer a free virtual academy in your state. They will test you to see where you need to be in the curriculum and then you can work at your own pace. You could zip right thru the 7th grade material and then start in on the 8th grade stuff, but if you’re thinking about going back to your middle school, I’m not sure how that works. That’s something you would need to check in with your local school about.

as a future middle level educator i have to strongly oppose homeschooling. The social aspect of middle school can be even more important than the educational part at least equally important. What you need to do is talk to a counsler in your area. this is a very serious matter that is going to affect your future. i love yahoo answers too but this needs to be taken up with someone in person. A school counsler most likely.

they do exist. i think you should probably go toyour local public school and ask some of the people who work there about your options. i would imagine they could hook you up with a free online one through the state/city you liuve in. my friend actually did that and he enjoyed it to death.
