I was wondering If teachers like middle school teachers jusge you by the way you dress. Like if you went to school wearing all sweats which mostly everyone does, would they think any less of you like your poorer or something? Or if you wear nice clothes to school do you think the teachers will take you more seriously?
All teachers judge students a little bit, but usually they care a lot more about separating students into categories like smart, average, unintelligent, etc. than about the wealthy of students.
I have one teacher who comes dressed in Hermes scarves (which start at $300 and go up to $900 for the large cashmere) and belts. I wear Hermes scarves too sometimes and designer jeans and stuff (not jeans that much because I don’t like jeans anyway). She likes me a lot, but it’s not because I dress nicely. It’s because I’m one of the best students she’s ever taught.
As far as what you dress goes, teachers are more likely to think about whether what you are wearing is inappropriate and what it says about your attitude about school. Teachers like it when kids dress nicely, not because it indicates wealth but because it says that the student isn’t lazy and it indicates that the student probably cares about school a little more than a kid who’s in sweats everyday. If a girl dresses in short shorts and tank tanks everyday, teachers (and everyone else) will not think very highly of her.
You don’t have to dress formally everyday. Today I’m wearing pearls and designer jeans, but I mix it up with short shorts sometimes and with other casual styles. But I do like to dress nicely, so I’m usually pretty formal. Teachers appreciate it when you put thought into your appearance.
I graduated with a bachelor’s and a master’s in accounting but recently discovered that teaching would be more enjoyable for me than working in the "business world." I only have about 7-8 math credit hours and I taught accounting for a year during my graduate school, but that’s it. Math comes easily to me so I could probably learn what I need to fast.
Can I accomplish this in a year? Or how long would it take? I’m from Illinois. Thanks!
You should be able to do a Masters degree in education to teach in a public school.
I am currently a 3rd year teacher in Chicago. I am certified to teach K-9 math and science. My husband and I are considering a move to Colorado. I know the market here is slim pickings, and I am very fortunate to have a job. How is the job market for a middle school math/science teacher in Colorado?
I just left Colorado due to a military move and I miss it terribly. Math scores are extremely low, so there seems to be a lot of turnover and/or math specialists being hired. As far as jobs, it depends on where you want to go. I’d start looking at which cities you want to live in and then look up what school districts are in that city. I was in Colorado Springs where there were probably 8 local school districts.
I want to put my daughter in independent study here in las vegas but i dont know any schools with the program!do you perhaps know any schools with this program?for middle school ? please if you know anything its really urgent!please help
Information is below.
I have a child going to Challenger Middle in San Jose and I have a problem with the management and teachers – they don’t take any action. The teachers are rude, unqualified people who have no passion for their job. Could you please compare this to Stratford School and tell me which school I am better off sending my child to? Thanks.
Defiantly California Bay…could not get any better than that. Well you could but its good. WAY better than Stratford and Challenger Middle Schools.
I’m writing a paper for my english class and my issue topic is " should fast food chains be allowed to build and operate within walking distances of middle and high schools?" Before I can actually write this, I need to know if there is a law already or in the making.
Such a law would be at the local level, and we don’t know where you live. And even if we did, there’s no way the city would pass a law that would make it harder for local businesses to make a legitimate profit, and would lower sales tax revenue.
If there’s a problem with the students going to the restaurants, it can easily be solved by closing the campus.
Im currently in middle school and i need my transcript for something, will they give it to me when i ask for it or will they need other things in order to give me my transcript? PLEASE HELP ME ITS VERY IMPORTANT THXS!
Your middle school transcripts can only be requested through your parents …
You would have a better chance requesting a report card for the current year
through your administrator or counselor.
*Best of Luck
Do high school teachers get paid more than middle school and elementary school teachers, since they are teaching a higher grade level, or do all teachers make about the same amount of money?
I can only speak for my school district (in Pennsylvania), but no, they don’t. The salary for teachers is negotiated by the union and on behalf of all of the teachers, and there is no difference by grade level. Years of experience, additional degrees and credits beyond the undergrad degree–these are the things that differentiate the salaries.
Special education teachers get a small additional stipend for the paperwork and meetings they have to write the individualized education plans (IEPs) of students on their rosters. Also, teachers who work as coaches, directors, department heads, and club advisors also receive additional stipends for these extra duties.
These are circle questions. PLEASE help with this, I need the right information. Also PLEASE EXPLAIN STEP BY STEP HOW YOU GOT YOUR ANSWER. I know these are a lot of questions but i need them in the next hour. Please do the best you can. Thank you
1) The area of a circle is 64*pi square centimeters. What is the circumference of the circle?
2) The circumference is 12*pi feet. What is the area of the circle?
area = pi * r^2
64 pi = pi * r^2
divide both sides by pi and they cancel each other out, so you’re left with
r^2 = 64
r = sqrt(64)
r = 8 <– radius
circumference = 2 * pi * r
circumference = 2 * pi * 8
circumference = 16 * pi
circumference = 12 * pi
2 * pi * r = 12 * pi
divide both sides by pi and they cancel each other out, so you’re left with
2 * r = 12
r = 6 <– radius
area = pi * r^2
area = pi * 6^2
area = 36 * pi
I’m in the 8th grade, and I don’t want to go into high school and be unprepared for the math. What kind of math is it, and is it hard?
We’ve already learned a bit of algebra and some geometry….
When you start out in high school they will teach you the basics in math, such as the things you have learned in middle school.
